Angelique Hinkle of Seabrook, Texas, was making key lime bars recently when she realized she didn’t have any graham crackers to make the crust. What she did have, was a bag of Bucc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets. “I love Beaver Nuggets beyond words,” Hinkle told MySA. “I don’t think it gets more Texas than Beaver Nuggets.” In Hinkle’s Houston-area home kitchen, desperation gave way to culinary innovation. “Feeling like a super genius right now,” she wrote alongside a photo of a mini loaf pan filled with Beaver Nugget crusts on Reddit....

A Utah man got quite the introduction to Florida fishing while visiting family in Pinellas County last week. Amanda Rissman told WLFA that she and her husband Chad were hoping to watch the sunset and do a little fishing with family off the Dunedin Causeway Wednesday night. Chad, who had just gotten his fishing license that morning, wasn’t having much luck. They were packing up to leave when one of the lines started moving....

There was a time in America when lighthouses served a vital role, ushering ships home and navigating them through dangerous waterways. Today, however, modern GPS systems have rendered most lighthouses obsolete, leaving the future of many of the country’s aging beacons unclear. Fortunately, there is hope for five historic lighthouses in the Florida Keys that the Coast Guard recently declared “to be excess” to their needs. According to the Miami Herald, the government has decided to give the lighthouses away at no cost in accordance with the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000....
