Designing Women is headed to the stage! The sitcom about the quick-talking employees of an Atlanta design firm that delighted viewers from 1986 to 1993 has been reimagined as a stage play, The New York Times reports. The play is the brainchild of the creator of the original television series, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Also called Designing Women, it will reportedly bring Suzanne, Julia, Charlene, and Mary Jo “roughly the same age as we last saw them,” into the present day....

Publix is expanding into the Bluegrass State! That’s right y’all… this week, the beloved Florida-based grocery store and Pub Sub purveyor announced it has signed a lease for its first store in Kentucky. The 55,702-square-foot Publix supermarket at the Terra Crossing shopping center in Louisville will also feature an adjacent Publix Liquors—the first located outside the state of Florida—that will offer beer, wine, and spirits. “Moving into Kentucky is a natural progression for our company, and we are excited to serve and be a part of this vibrant community,” Publix CEO Todd Jones said in a statement....

It was a big day in Drummond-ville yesterday, with Paige Drummond—Ree and Ladd Drummond’s second oldest of their four children—turning 21. It’s hard to believe that the picture above of the family visiting New York City for a The Pioneer Woman magazine celebration was taken a few years ago, when Paige was 17-years-old and now she’s a junior at the University of Arkansas. Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ safety Logan Ryan has gone to the dogs. The football star is working with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and his own animal welfare organization to find a home for an adorable five-year old terrier mix named Cora. Cora has been at the Humane Society for nearly three months, the Tampa Bay Times reports, so Ryan decided to step in and call a press conference in the hopes of finding the very good dog a forever home....

The Southern Living Cookbook, first published in 1987, is my favorite cookbook for classic Southern recipes and how-to tips and tricks. Like so many Southern Living readers, I grew up thumbing through my mother’s issues of the magazine, marking specific recipes I wanted her to try. While I don’t recall specific conversations with Mama about the validity and quality of the recipes, it seems I just always knew that a Southern Living recipe could be trusted to be good – perhaps, in part, due to the fact that Mama herself was such an excellent cook and everything she put on the table was delicious....
