The Kentucky National Guard had the assistance of a very good girl in the immediate aftermath of the deadly floods that devastated eastern Kentucky last month. K-9 Callie spent 36 hours in late July helping search the flooded areas via ground, boat, and helicopter. “Along with her handler, Kentucky Air National Guard Master Sgt. Rudy Parsons, and the 123rd Special Tactics Squadron, Callie assisted in the rescue of 15 Kentuckians and two dogs,” Kentucky National Guard captioned a Facebook photo on July 29....

Arch Manning, the oldest son of Cooper Manning, is currently the top-rated quarterback recruit and top overall recruit for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports. Sad news out of the Outer Banks this week. Molly, North Carolina’s most famous river otter, has died after suffering a seizure at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. The North American river otter who delighted aquarium guests for nearly 18 years experienced a seizure in the early morning of July 29th. Molly was under 24-hour supervision in the days following the seizure, but sadly did not regain consciousness. On Wednesday the aquarium announced their difficult decision to euthanize Molly “rather than have her experience any suffering....

In march, Reba McEntire’s mom, Jacqueline McEntire, died from cancer at the age of 93.
