One of my most prized possessions is a vintage recipe box that my grandmother gave to my mom, which was then passed down to me. I fill it with handwritten recipes of my own to mix in with recipes my mother wrote out for me. Every time I file through it on the search for cooking inspiration, I think of both women, who I wouldn’t be here without.
