If you’re juggling a few things (like a big stack of Christmas gifts or a plate of our famous Cheesy Sausage-and-Croissant Casserole) rest assured, you can still manage to fill up your cup with your free hand. The carafe is designed with an easy-to-press button just above the handle to eliminate spills when not in use, while making pouring on the fly a one-handed situation.
Instead of letting the pot get to empty before brewing another 12 cups, I divvy out the first few cups then pour the remainder in the carafe and begin a second brew right away.
