Good news: You can stay in your very own Ark right here in the South.

If it has been a while since you were in Sunday school, here’s a quick reminder of the story of Noah and his Ark. In the book of Genesis, God decided it was time to deal with the increasing violence and corruption on Earth. However, there was one man on the planet who God deemed righteous because he and his family were good God-fearing folk who God wanted to spare from the rising waters. So, God came to Noah and told him to build a giant boat, specifically an Ark, out in the desert. He was then instructed to collect two of every animal he could find and put them on the boat with his family so that all the good parts of the planet could survive.

When the flood came, Noah and his family lived onboard the Ark with those animals for 40 days and 40 nights, while the waters rose and then receded. Now, I don’t know about you, but when I first heard that story, I had a few questions. The biggest one being this: What was it like to live in an Ark? Thanks to Airbnb, finding out the answer to that is easier than ever.

While Noah’s Ark has been lost to the passage of time, if you want to see what living in an Ark might be like, there’s no need to head to Mt. Ararat where its ruins have reportedly been discovered. Instead, stick closer to home and visit the Ark in Springfield, Tennessee, less than an hour from Nashville.

The Ark is a wooden house built to look like a boat complete with decks and a crow’s nest perfect for surveying the surrounding dry land and beautiful gardens. There’s enough room for four guests, but probably most comfortable for a one-of-a-kind couple’s retreat. Not only is this Ark a great reminder of the Bible story, but it also has all the amenities you would expect in a quiet spot for a fun weekend getaway, including a hot tub. The Ark is listed on Airbnb for just $139 a night.

Sadly, though, no pets are allowed in this Ark. If you want to find out what it was really like for Noah and his family, you’ll have to build your own Ark with a portable zoo.
